The evening of October 25, 2014 began by adorning each patron with a Mardi Gras mask and glistening beads as they entered the Cardinal Dinardo Center for a night of masquerading and "fun"-draising! The crisp fall air created anticipation for a night of storytelling and recalling experiences that have and continue to change the lives of many young adults during the 15 year history of the Change A Heart ministry. Laughter and friendly exchanges made for a night to remember with GRATITUDE!
Gratitude for the many friends, family and supporters that believe in our mission of empowering young adults to live simply in community while serving a vulnerable population. Many blessings and prayers go out to all who attended and those that supported and could not attend. The more than 100 attendees behind the array of colorful masks adorned with feathers and beads helped raise $23,500 in support of our Change A Heart member's basic needs that help sustain them throughout their service year; housing, food, transportation, formation retreats and recruitment!
In addition, a big congratulation goes out to Lisa Clouse, (Sister Donna Stephenson's niece), for winning the trip to New Orleans … way to go Lisa! And, to those who went home with a silent auction basket, know we are most grateful!
Gala Committee: Thanks for stepping up last minute to pull this event together with such enthusiasm and excitement. We couldn't have done it without each of you! If you are interested in joining our 2015 Gala committee, contact the program director to learn more.

Through the generous support of individuals and sponsors, Change A Heart raised more than $22,000! This will be used to help fund retreats and formation sessions with members, recruitment, and members' housing, food, and transportation costs.
Congratulations to Glenn Wilson, winner of our raffle for the trip to Rome! We hope you enjoy your stay, and take many pictures! Congratulations also to those who won baskets in our small chance auction and who placed winning bids in our live art auction.
