A private, nonprofit community mental health and mental retardation agency, Allegheny East Mental Health & Mental Retardation Center serves the needs of residents in western Pennsylvania through counseling, rehabilitation and training, information and referral services, consultation, education and prevention services, and developmental activities.

Alma Illery Medical Center
Located in Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood, the Alma Illery Medical Center offers health services including ob-gyn, pediatrics, family health, dentistry, pharmacist, psychiatrist, social services and outreach programs serving low income families as well as the unnsheltered homeless.

Orr, Compassionate Care Center
A 14-bed respite care program, Orr Compassionate Care Center provides shelter, clothes and meals for homeless and frail persons, specifically those who have just been released from the hospital.
